I don’t want to be pieced by cupid’s arrow
And falling head over heals in love
A crush is a crush,
And the feelings I could feel would be lost and unheard

I don’t want to fall in love
Where my heart turns cold, hard, and frozen to stone
I don’t want to cry myself to sleep
Dreaming of you with somebody else

I don’t want to feel jealous, hurt, and in pain
Just because of one little mistake

I don’t want a love to be a lie,
Where I find myself in a void
Left to be miserable, motionless, and to the point
Of losing interest in the things I like

My walls will be sturdy and strong, nobody can break through
All of your blandish requests, would be denied
Shot down with arrows of bitterness
Gift me things, or take me out
And I will refuse

I don’t want to follow you, trying to catch your attention
Knowing my efforts won’t be enough
I can’t handle competing against rivalry
Being torn apart because of sabotage, or misunderstandings
