Lonely
Into the unknown, you’re hiding. I reach out to you and touch nothing. The love you proclaim has no real body. No physical truth, taste, or feeling. A hand once needed affection now filled With my bleeding heart, I’m weeping from Inside. In dire need for you. You hear my words on empty promises You make. They are transparent from the Lies on your lips and the fade in your eyes. Sunflowers lean in my arms, once vibrant And soft. Soon decay on my skin and Poison on my tongue. Tears and tears fall in my wounds, I Cannot heal from this twinge of sadness I Sleep with. Sweet nothings are sirens in the distance, This warmth I breed for you is calling but No heed is found. I’ve been here forever, standing alone And tired. No way did I feel your strength, only the Echoes of your lonely heart. I should’ve cut that rope before it began Burning in the dark.
